Loopt educates over 2,000 students at the 2025 Vision 2030 Climate Fairs
For the third consecutive year, Loopt was honored to join a group of dynamic community partners to educate middle school students about how they can reduce their carbon footprint at Portland's Vision 2030 Climate Fairs. Held at Harriet Tubman, Parkrose, Robert Gray, and Roseway Heights Middle Schools, these fairs allowed over 2,000 students to learn from and directly engage with community led initiatives that advance climate solutions. Loopt focused on extending the life of clothing and reducing textile waste.
This year we are proud to announce that our participation has resulted in an exciting pilot project with Robert Gray Middle School and their Eco Club to launch an end of school year clothing drive with the goal of zero waste. All wearable items will be collected by the Portland Public Schools Clothes Closet for distribution to needy students in the Fall. Nonwearable items will be recycled by Looptworks. The goal is to expand this program citywide in 2026.
